Cyd took a long, circuitous route to the Independent Catholic faith, with stops along the way in Episcopal, Congregational, non-denominational, United Methodist, and Roman Catholic communities. Having finally found her home in Catholic liturgy and devotional practices, she understands that she was born a Catholic soul and wishes she had realized this a lot sooner than the middle of her fifth decade on Earth. Cyd has a BA in English, with minors in Latin and Statistics, from Sacramento State University. She works as a legal secretary, practices yoga, walks dogs at the Sacramento SPCA, prays the Rosary every day, and gardens. She lives with her wife Joan and two cats.
