Parish Financial Information

Financial Update

Monthly Need:  $1675
Total To Date:   $2060

Weekly Contributions:
Feb 7:    $521
Feb 14:  $468
Feb 21:  $1071

To maintain the parish facility and to meet the financial obligations we require a minimum of $1675 per month. We do not take up a collection during Mass. Rather, we rely on the faith giving of those who attend and on the generosity of those who share our vision to contribute as they are able.

Volunteering/Stewardship

Parish Maintenance/Volunteers
Lorna Kisoki is the volunteer coordinator for the parish.  Please contact her at lorna@GoodShepherdCommunity.org if you can help with weekly cleaning or are available for other help.

Stewardship
This is your community! Good Shepherd is bottom up organization that relies on the laity to make decisions, manage the parish's affairs, and provide financial support. Your active participation is needed as our community transitions and grows.

Altar Society
Help is needed to help set up and take down before Masses on Sunday, and to help launder the linens used at Mass. Please see Brother Neil or sign up on Sunday.

The Grey Robe Monks of St. Benedict - Sacramento Priory

We are an ecumenical order following the Rule of St. Benedict.  The Order was established as a monastery-without-walls in that the members engage in secular work, some have families, all live independently.  As indicated by our Charter, the Order is open to women and men - single, married/partnered - who seek a deeper relationship with God as Creator, Savior, and Sanctifier.  As a community we develop this deeper relationship by gathering for the liturgy of the hours - Opus Dei, lectio divina - prayerful meditation of biblical texts, study of the Rule of Benedict, and celebration of the Eucharist.  We also engage in works of service to our worship communities and the secular community as well.  The Grey Robes meet at 6:30 PM every Wednesday at: AtonementLutheranChurch, 9242 Kiefer Blvd., Sacrament, CA95826.  For more information, please contact:
Bob Hart, OSB at:
bob.osb@GoodShepherdCommunity.org or our website www.grosb.org.

The Ecumenical Order of Sts. Francis and Clare

Francis and Clare is a community of Franciscans in the Sacramento area.   This new community is structured to include single and married/partnered members- both men and women. Project to Help the Homeless
The Grey Robed Monks of Saint Benedict are collecting items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, socks, stocking caps & gloves (seasonal), or any usable small items and putting them in drawstring bags of denim for distribution direct to people in need. They are making the bags themselves from the pant legs of throw-away denim jeans.

Please donate old jeans pant legs or old jeans to use for the bag material. It would be greatly appreciated. Please email Liz Stephens at
lizstephens@sbcglobal.net or Bob Hart at bob.osb@goodshepherdcommunity.org and we will arrange for drop off or pick up.

Peru Mission
Charlie Shields has been keeping us up to date on the mission efforts and needs at Assisi House. There is information available on the table at all our Sunday Masses and you can read more about the Peru Mission on our jurisdiction website at www.ICCWest.com and following the link for Missions.

Francis House
Francis House is in need of the following items: toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, disposable razors, and deodorant. There is a collection box in the vestibule of the Church (just a note that the Dollar Store has great deals on these types of things). Please email Joanne for more information.
